The architectural review process is a simple and fast way to ensure we maintain the beauty and style of our neighborhood according to the original design principles. It ensures that homeowners can promptly obtain necessary Village permits. Consider these questions to evaluate whether your exterior project may requires Centennial architectural approval.
1. Does the project require a Village permit?
· If yes, it likely requires Centennial approval, and the village typically withholds permitting until proof of approval is available (see process below); see residential building permits here.
· If no, continue to the next question.
2. Does the project result in a noticeable appearance change to any aspect of your home's exterior (such as repainting with non-original colors)?
· If yes, you may need approval to ensure rule/regs compliance. Please contact the Centennial Architectural Review Chairperson to evaluate.
· If no, have fun with your project - no board approval is needed
The process for obtaining CCHOA Board approval:
1. Complete the Architectural Review Form in its entirety: Download form here
2. Submit (via hard copy or email) the following 3 documents with the above form
· A sketch (or photo of product being installed; e.g. fences) showing all improvements and other details from your contractor (typically the estimate or invoice document from your contractor includes the necessary information)
· A plat of survey for your home / property (often included with your real estate purchase papers)
· A Certificate of Liability Insurance from your contractor showing Centennial Crossing Homeowners Association as the Certificate Holder
3. Deliver the completed Architectural Review Form and attached 3 documents to the Architectural Review Chairperson's home or email (the address is on the form). If delivering hard copies, please submit copies - do not include your originals as they will not be returned.
4. Once approved (usually within 2-3 days), you will receive an email approval letter that the Village will accept toward permitting completion. If your project needs Centennial approval but not a village permit, please obtain the approval letter, before commencing your project.
